Milezone's Weekly Newsletter #17

Hello Everyone,

We hope you are having a great weekend.  Some great info to share for this weekend so will get right to it.......

Flames - The Series
The 1949 Mercury was shipped out to us yesterday, so we are hoping to see this ride by mid to late next week.  We are very excited about this ride, it is the lowest Flames - The Series production run direct from a manufacturer, with only 700 being produced.  And it is just downright awesome!
We hope you all order this vehicle, you will be very happy with this piece.

Johnny Lightning
We added  new 1/24 scale vehicles to the site.  Also added more A, B, and C 40th Anniversary vehicles to the site.
The 40th Anniversary is our #1 selling line this year!  With still a D, E, F, and G assortment to arrive, we are sure this will remain a #1 seller for most of this year.

M2 Machines
M2 has been really bringing in some great replicas and has really made a huge impact in our sales, with now being our 2nd largest selling line this year!
This week we received the Auto-Thentics R7 and Detroit-Muscle R5 rides.  All vehicles are on the site and ready to go.  The Detroit-Muscle sports 2 new castings.
Also new this week, but received very late today, we got in the new 1/24 scale Mustangs.  These came out very nice, and sure to be a pleaser for the 1/24 scale fans.

Greenlight
Nothing new to report this week, but we are told by the Greenlight folks that late this month (early next month when we actually receive products) will be huge!  Muscle Car Garage R10, Factory 2 Packs R3, Auction Block R8, and Hot Pursuit all will be arriving around the same time.
The Hot Pursuit will be for sure Greenlights hit of the year, and a for sure sell-out.  We advice you place a pre-order for this item to assure your set.

Hot Wheels
Nothing new to report here.  We are hopign to get in the new 1/87 scale vehicles, with the Batmobile.  Due to the high demand, these will be listed only when product is in hand.  Please watch the site late next week for more info.
Also some not so good news in teh Hot Wheels front.  We have gotten word from our rep that Classics, Larry's Garage, and Dragstrip Demons will all be pretty much "repeat cases".  meaning most of the product in the new assortments will be what has already arrived.
Of course this makes things hard for us as we do not want to get in our normal shipment and be stuck with tons of extras that we had already received previously. (our last Classics assortment for instance).
So we are sorry to say but we have no other choice but to cut our orders drastically in order to not have too much overstock.
This may effect the Subscription folks just a bit, but we are trying to find angles around this problem.

Chase Vehicles
We have not talk much about chase vehicles, so we want to give you all a little insight on this area.  Initially this area was setup so our regular customers can purchase using rewards.  We were at first unsure on how to price this with $$ amounts and rewards amount.
After a few months we have determined that the actual selling price needs to be raised, and the rewards points need to be lowered.  In other words we want to make sure most of these get sold using rewards (free for regular customers, including shipping) points.
Remember for each $1 you spend here at Milezone's, you earn 1 rewards points.  We have products from 150 points and up.  We are the only diecast company that offer this incentive.

10th Anniversary Sale
Aug 15th is not too far away.  We have many planned events for our big in store sale, and as of this weekend, have close to 75 folks signed up.  So it is turning out to be a AWESOME turnout.
Tom Z., the Johnny Lightning designer is planning to show up for the event, and will have a goodie or 2 to hand out.  Also we will be handing out a exclusive 10th Anniversary Johnny Lightning '50 Chevy Delivery.  We received 75 ALL WHITE vehicles from the JL team, that we will be imprinting our 10th Anniversary logo to.  Anyone making a $25 or more purchase will receive a vehicle (1 per person).
Also we plan to have a "High Roller Sale" after 2pm for those "Big Buyers" who want to really clean house and load up on som extra goodies.
We hope to see you all at our 10th Annivery sale, and most importantly we want to THANK YOU ALL FOR MAKING IT HAPPEN!

That's it for this week, thank you for giving us a few minutes of your time, and we hop you enjoy your weekend.

One question for you Russ? Does that mean the GL's are not expected next week? I'm really anxious to see those M2 Stangs as well :D! Thank you Russ

Too bad about the Hot Wheels, I wonder why they are doing this with these releases? The only thing I saw/read that may keep interest going was that these future cases may contain "chase" cars and possibly a repaint or two. I'll bet there is going to be a big drop in Classics sales everywhere as well as a ton of cars on the discount pegs. I also heard that the Pixar Cars line was going to become a Target exclusive, anyone else hear about this happening?

Yup not sure I understand the whole Mattel way of handling things, sometimes it just amazes me they stay on top like they do. I think only because of the Hot Wheels name?

But these days we have to be cautious in our buying and if we hear things are just going to be duplicated, it is best for us to lay low until we see how things pan out.

Oh and yes, no Greenlight next week, it will be end of the month, early next month before we actually have them in hand.
